The “Letovo Junior” project includes a kindergarten, primary, and middle school designed to accommodate 900+ children. It is a unified educational environment created in accordance with cutting-edge research in child development and pedagogy, requiring special attention to detail from all project participants.

Our task in this project was the development of the functional-technological brief and technological solutions, as well as sketch design for custom-made furniture and play elements. The work was carried out from the concept design stage to the development of detailed construction documentation and architectural supervision.

We created a kindergarten environment that promotes both movement and play — the main modes of learning at this age.

Nadezhda Fedotova, founder of the architectural studio NF

We designed classrooms for the youngest age group that exceed the standard area requirements. This made it possible to support educational processes aligned with the psychophysical needs of that age group.

Recreational areas in the primary school are organized as playgrounds, with a central play structure aimed at developing children's spatial movement. Along the perimeter, there are so-called "islands" — zones and niches with different activities for fine and gross motor skill development, social interaction, and project-based work.

We developed more than 250 unique pieces of furniture and play elements. These include play and learning niches for primary and middle school recreation areas, specialized play structures for preschoolers enabling 3D movement and interaction with modular components. We also conducted detailed typology of storage units and created unique solutions not only for children’s spaces (such as libraries), but also for administrative and teacher areas. A key aspect of the work was developing briefs for related specialists and coordinating all project parts.

The NF team carried out extensive work on the “Letovo Junior” project. In addition to general construction supervision, we also oversaw furniture and equipment procurement, ensuring high-quality implementation for both our team and the client. We also supported the state expert review process by the Moscow State Expertise (GAU "Mosgosexpertiza"), resulting in a positive conclusion.

The “Letovo Junior” project sets a new standard for the design of educational environments. It continues the tradition established by the Letovo School campus project.
